EUEDOS DataBase Manager (DBM) is a modular system of web applications that compose a powerful support mechanism for the interconnection between education and employability. EUEDOS DataBase Manager (DBM) has been designed to allow gradual development of the system from the basic level of an institute (SCO-Students Career Offices), to the medium level of a national workforce database system, and finally, to the top level of an inter-European or international system.
The basic institutional level implies the establishment of the so called "Vertical module" which is a database web application installed at an educational institute, which keeps at least a detailed registry of undergraduate and graduate student profiles. It can also keep a registry of subscribed enterprises, as well as any other information entity supportive to the institutional functions.
The medium level, that of a national system. implies the establishment of the so called "Horizontal module", which is a synergistic database and repository web application, installed under the auspices of a national organization of educational institutes, under jurisdiction of State control. This module cooperates with the various vertical modules, collecting non sensitive personal data relevant to the education and professional experience/lifecourse of the registered graduates. The aim of the horizontal module is the interconnection and coordination of the connected institutes, the statistical processing of collected data and inference drawing, reports creation and publishing, and finally the interconnection with other national horizontal modules to an international level.
The top integration activity, implements the seamless interconnection mechanism between horizontal modules, effectively realizing an international grid of cooperated educational institutes.
